ICTU conference looks at ways to 'reinflate domestic economy'
The Irish Congress of Trade Unions is holding a conference in Dublin this morning to look at ways of creating jobs in the Irish economy.
The 'post-Troika Ireland' event is aimed at examining ways to develop the domestic economy.
The Minister for Social Protection Joan Burton and the incoming president of the German union federation Reiner Hoffman and Niels Pultz, Danish Ambassador to Ireland will address the event.
ICTU spokesman Macdara Doyle said: "The answer is blindingly obvious. We need a huge programme of investment to get people back to work and reinflate the domestic economy and create demand and employment."
