UPC defends price increases
The head of UPC Ireland is defending the company's second price hike in 12 months.
Customers will be facing an average increase of 4.5% on their bills from the first of March.
Magnus Ternsjo, UPC's Chief Executive in Ireland, said getting the content that their customers want is costing them more money, which leads to higher bills.
"Nobody likes price increases. UPC don’t like them either," he said.
"The content - we don't own this content, and this is the content the end consumers want to watch and wants to have access to. That content is increasing in its price for us."
Mr Ternsjo goes out to meet customers once a week to hear about their experience with the company.
