Hard-hit retailers are calling on the Taoiseach Enda Kenny to boost business in Dun Laoghaire.

The coastal town is stepping up the fight to save its businesses from the recession.

Dun Laoghaire has been hit with rising rates, high parking charges and growing tensions with local area management.

Up to 805 businesses are negotiating discounts on service charges such as electricity and waste collection.
