AT&T rejects Vodafone takeover talk

Speculation linking mobile phone giant Vodafone to a £60 billion takeover swoop from AT&T was shot down by the American firm today.

The telecoms company told the City that it does not intend to make an offer for Vodafone – dashing months of talk about a potential combination.
