Exports to grow on back of global economic growth, report suggests

A new report from Investec indicates that the Irish economy will grow as a result of increases in the UK and US economies.
Its study of Ireland's 15 major trading partners shows that Irish exports reached a three-year high in the third quarter of last year.
Chief Economist Philip O’ Sullivan says with momentum picking up in the US and the UK, the Irish economy should benefit as a result.
"I think that the acceleration in global growth, particularly in developed markets, will account for the lion's share of our exports," he said.
"It's something that we would take a lot of comfort from - increased appetite for Irish exports."
