The industry has recorded its largest rate of growth in 2013 since 2007.

Chief Economist with Investec, Philip O'Sullivan, says while some challenges remain, the outlook is better for companies going forward.

Business and financial services as well as technology and transport have all seen a significant rise in activity.

Employment in the industry has also witnessed a positive trend for the past 16 months.
