Recruitment firm sees noticeable rise in job vacancies

Recruitment agency Servisource says Ireland’s jobs market is showing positive trends that should continue for 2014 .

The company is currently recruiting candidates for more than 107 vacancies, 62 of which have become available in the last 30 days.

Declan Murphy CEO Servisource HR Group said: "With Ireland officially exiting the bailout and multinational companies once again choosing the country as a desired location, there has been a steady increase in staff requirements.

"However, with many of our youngest and brightest working overseas, we have also noticed a considerable shortage of skilled candidates, particularly in the areas of construction and nursing."

"Roughly 55% of the positions we are recruiting for at present have gone live in the last month alone."

He said the jobs are long-term and permanent in sectors such as nursing, IT, accounting and construction.

However, he went on to say that there is a considerable shortage of skilled candidates, particularly in the areas of construction and nursing.

He said: "Many of these people will be coming home to spend Christmas with family. We are inviting them to contact us and let us see if we can find a position that is suitable for them.

"Ireland is finally recovering from the recession."

Dublin - 22 vacancies including 3 healthcare assistant positions, 12 nursing posts, 5 positions in construction and 2 in catering

Louth - 28 roles including 14 in nursing, 1 in accounting, 3 in HT/management, 4 in construction/engineering/electrical, 3 in sales/marketing, 1 in IT and 2 healthcare assistants vacancies

Cork - 20 vacancies including 9 in nursing, 2 in the allied medical fields, 2 in home care nursing, 3 in construction, 3 in catering and 1 in accounting

Cavan - 7 roles (5 in Nursing and 2 for healthcare assistants)

Meath - 8 roles (5 in Nursing and 3 healthcare assistants)

West of Ireland - 11 vacancies (4 in nursing, 2 in catering and 5 for healthcare assistants)

Northern Ireland & UK - 11 vacancies (10 in construction and 1 in nursing)
