Media company to create 20 Cork jobs

A UK-based company specialising in software for cinemas is to create 20 jobs in Cork over the next two years, it was announced today.
Arts Alliance Media is to open a development office in the city's Webworks digital enterprise centre and said it is seeking graduate and senior software developers to fill the roles.
The London-headquartered firm develops software for cinemas to import digital content, encode films and manage advertising. The company’s software is currently installed on around 20,000 cinema screens worldwide.
“We’re delighted to extend AAM’s technical capabilities by opening a development office in Ireland," company spokesman Matt Sullivan said.
"The pool of talent and excellent education centres in the Cork region lead us to choosing the city and will allow AAM to both drive forward both our software portfolio and technical innovation in the cinema industry."
The initiative is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.
"Today’s announcement is great news for Cork and is further proof that Ireland is seen as an
important location for international companies to grow and expand their business," said Research and Innovation Minister Sean Sherlock.
