200 new jobs announced in Dublin and Cork

200 new jobs have been announced by two companies working in Dublin and Cork.

New energy provider Energia has just confirmed plans to create 100 positions in Dublin and Cork over the next year. Energia already provides power and gas to businesses, but now it is easier to enter the residential market.

Meanwhile, recruitment web site INDEED is looking for 100 more workers to join them at their Dublin HQ.

The roles will be in the areas of sales, marketing, operations, business development and IT.

Aidan McLaughlin from Indeed said it's a significant move for the company, and the jobs are across a wide range of areas.

"Right now we have over 100 [employees], and by next year we're going to double that to 200," he said.

"They're in sales, client services, marketing, finance, IT and operations."

"The people that we typically look for are web-savvy, multi-lingual speakers, to give our advertisers the best service."
