Technology firm wins €7m in new contracts

A leading Irish technology company has secured three new contracts in the UK and Ireland worth more than £7m.

Novosco, which is headquartered in the Northern Ireland Science Park and has offices in Dublin and Birmingham, has won the deals with a global financial services provider, an English retail chain with over 360 outlets, and a leading pan-European recruitment company.

They include an 18-month managed service contract with a global insurance business to provide storage and back-up IT infrastructure and services at locations in the Republic of Ireland and England.

Novosco Managing Director, Patrick McAliskey, said: "We opened new offices in Dublin and Birmingham last year to complement our Belfast headquarters and this has enabled us to significantly grow our business in the rest of the UK and Ireland.

"While Northern Ireland remains Novosco’s key market, we see significant opportunities for growth in GB and RoI."

Founded in 2007 with the merger of two local IT firms, Novosco employs 88 people, with offices in Belfast, Dublin and Birmingham.

It provides cloud computing and IT infrastructure services.
