The owner of the Daily Mail said advertising revenues at its newspaper arm have slumped 11% over the past month compared with last year’s Olympics and Paralympics boost.

Daily Mail & General Trust added that trading was “solid” in the 11 months to the end of August, with underlying group sales rising 2%.
