Construction workers say 'black economy' widespread

Seven out of 10 of construction firms have reported coming across a black economy operation in the last three months, according to new research from the Construction Industry Federation.

CIF's research also indicates that almost two-thirds of construction companies have been asked to do a job for cash outside of the tax system.
