New research facility to be set up at Park West

The Minister for Social Protection, Joan Burton is welcoming today's announcement from FAZTech to set up a research facility at Park West in Dublin.

The Dutch multinational deals in fibre optics and already employs 26 staff at it's R&D facility in the capital.

Over the next two years, the company said that it plans further investment with the roll-out of first products which it hopes will drive growth and double staff numbers over time.

The firm is supported by IDA Ireland.
