Trade union to meet Heinz over restructuring plans

Unite trade union is to seek a meeting with Heinz to discuss the implications of its restructuring plans on Irish workers.

Yesterday the food company announced that changes are coming on stream which could result in the loss of office jobs.

Heinz employs over 2,600 people across Ireland and the UK.

The company recently laid off 600 employees in the US.
