Official liquidator appointed to Waterford Castle Hotel companies
Aiden Murphy of Crowe Horwath has been confirmed as official liquidator to Newgold Ltd and Cendant Ltd, the trading companies of the Waterford Castle Hotel & Golf Resort.
The well-known island resort remains open for “business as usual”, however.
This follows on from the appointment of the Provisional Liquidator and Statutory Receiver on July 19.
The Hotel and Golf resort operations will be overseen by the statutory receiver, Eoin Ryan of McKeogh Gallagher Ryan, who was appointed by Nama.
"Given the great location it is hoped that people will continue to benefit from the resort’s facilities and, to the extent possible, the immediate objective is to secure operations and to honour bookings," read a statement on behalf of Waterford Castle.
"Waterford Castle and its staff look forward to welcoming new and existing customers, including valued golf members.
"The provisional liquidator and statutory receiver would like to thank staff for their assistance to date and their clear desire to meet the needs of resort customers.
"The provisional liquidator would also like to thank suppliers who have worked with the resort during the provisional liquidation period."
