€500m in short-term bonds to go on auction this week

Ireland is to hold an auction of short-term bonds this week.

The two-month treasury bills will be auctioned off on Thursday.

The National Treasury Management Agency says it wants to raise €500m in the auction.

The auction will test whether investors are willing to lend money to the Irish government as we approach the end of the EU-IMF bailout.
