New Zealand jobs seminar seeks Irish construction professionals

Companies from New Zealand are once again on the hunt for Irish workers.

The ‘New Zealand Jobs and Seminars Tour’ is taking place in Dublin today with employers looking for people across a range of industries.

Construction and engineering professionals are still in high demand as the country works to rebuild Christchurch following the massive earthquake in February 2011.

Haley Roberts, CEO of Working In, the New Zealand recruitment agency organising the event explains what sort of companies will be at the fair.

"We have a health employer, an energy distributor - the people who do the big power lines at the top of New Zealand," she said.

"We have a construction company that's looking for people, especially senior construction managers for rebuilding Christchurch, and also for projects in Auckland and around New Zealand."
