Farmers group expects conclusion to CAP negotiations today
The President of the Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers Association has said he expects there will be a conclusion reached on the final CAP negotiations later today.
It follows ongoing talks in Luxembourg and Brussels this week on the reform proposals.
Yesterday, the Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney said that a compromise had been reached which would see a redistribution of €100m among Irish farmers.
The President of the ICSA Gabriel Gilmartin, said Minister Coveney is hopeful an agreement will be reached later this evening.
