IFA brings in fodder from France for hard-hit farmers
A load of fodder has arrived into the country today from France this morning, to alleviate the burden on Irish farmers.
IFA President John Bryan welcomed the arrival of the fodder this morning and said his organisation will begin directing it to the west and border counties, where it is needed most.
Mr Bryan has called on all co-ops to continue to source fodder wherever possible to assist the effort.
More than 80 loads of French hay have been delivered by the IFA in the past week, and more than 100 are expected next week.
