Accountancy and retail software company Sage said that organic revenues growth of 5% in its UK and Ireland business helped underlying profits rose 6% to £184.9m in the six months to March 31 (€219.3m).

Accountancy and retail software company Sage said that organic revenues growth of 5% in its UK and Ireland business helped underlying profits rose 6% to £184.9m in the six months to March 31 (€219.3m).

Chief executive Guy Berruyer said he was encouraged by the overall performance, which he expects will be sustained by the Newcastle-based company over the rest of the year.
