Aer Lingus mulling San Francisco route

Aer Lingus is considering re-opening its direct flight to San Francisco.

It is understood the plan is dependent on getting the financial support of major employers if the airline incurs any losses on the route.

It is proposing to fly from Dublin to San Francisco a minimum of four times a week.

Many major multi-national companies are based on the west coast and the region is the biggest source of technology investment to Ireland.
