UK to probe games industry over child exploitation claims
Some computer games and phone apps are being investigated after claims children are being exploited by manufacturers.
Despite the initial purchase being free, concerns have been raised about games or apps - aimed at children - that then charge for extra content.
In one instance, a five-year-old boy in Britain, got a £1,700 (€1,990) bill for just one game, while a seven-year-old girl racked up nearly £70 (€82) before her parents became aware.
The UK's Office of Fair Trading has said is does not want to ban in-game purchases, but the games industry must protect children, and their parents, from unfair pressure.
