Liquidators to meet with union representing IBRC bank staff

The finance union, the IBOA, is to meet with the special liquidators appointed to the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation later, in a dispute over redundancies.
KPMG will meet with representatives for workers at the IBRC, to discuss the outlook for employees affected by last month's emergency wind up of the bank.
The former Anglo Irish Bank employed 800 people, but when it was wound up by the Oireachtas it brought uncertainity about jobs.
Most workers were re-hired on monthly contracts, but those who will lose their jobs are objecting to a package that will only give them statutory redundancy rights.
