EC President to speak at IBEC conference today

The European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso is in Dublin today where he will address 400 of the continent's top business people.

He is due to speak at employers' group IBEC's CEO Conference at the Convention Centre.

IBEC says the conference will discuss ways of boosting job creation and cutting budget deficits.

Chief Economist at IBEC, Fergal O'Brien, says people may need to endure more spending cuts for that to happen.
