Judge dismisses businessman McNamara's Irish Glass action
The Commercial Court has dismissed a multi-million euro court case taken by bankrupt businessman Bernard McNamara following the controversial purchase of the Irish Glass Bottle site.
The Court was told Mr McNamara was declared a bankrupt in Britain last year, and is no longer entitled to maintain legal proceedings against the Dublin Docklands Authority over aspects of the purchase and development of the Irish Glass Bottle site in Ringsend .
A question mark still hangs over whether his former company Donatex can continue the lawsuit.
The judge said there was confusion over who was controlling the company and funding the legal action.
The case will return to court next week.
