Former ESB chief executive appointed to eircom board

Padraig McManus has been appointed non-executive chairman of eircom, effective 1 January 1, 2013, it was announced today.

Commenting on behalf of the board, Herb Hribar, CEO, eircom Group said: “I am delighted that Padraig has agreed to accept the role of Chairman of eircom. He has a wealth of experience in business and in critical network investment, and we look forward to his leadership of the board as the company prepares to launch Ireland’s largest fibre network, deliver LTE high speed wireless data services and introduce new products such as television in 2013.”
