Insurance company Zurich estimates damage claims relating to Superstorm Sandy will hit its fourth quarter earnings by $700m.

Insurance company Zurich estimates damage claims relating to Superstorm Sandy will hit its fourth quarter earnings by $700m.

The storm killed 132 people when it struck in the US and Canada in October.

Another insurance company, AIG, has already said it expects losses of at least $1.3bn due to Sandy.
