Singapore 'to sell stake in Virgin'

Speculation over Richard Branson’s control of Virgin Atlantic grew today after Singapore Airlines confirmed it was in talks over the sale of its stake in the transatlantic airline.

America’s largest airline, Delta, is believed to have approached Singapore Airlines about buying its 49% stake, with Singapore confirming today that it is talking to “interested parties”.
