International legal conference brings 5,000 lawyers to Dublin
The Taoiseach will this evening open an international legal conference in Dublin, which it is thought could provide a €50m boost to the economy.
Five thousand legal professionals from around the world have travelled to Dublin for the International Bar Association's Annual Conference.
Former President of Ireland Mary Robinson and Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz are among those due to address the week-long gathering.
Brian Burke, head of corporate and mergers and acquisitions with the Irish law firm William Fry said: "There are delegates who cross all areas of the law from high-end corporate work and transactions to human rights issues, so it covers every area."
