BP in $2.5bn refinery sale

Oil giant BP has agreed to sell its refinery in Carson, California, and its Arco petrol station network in the southwest US to Tesoro for $2.5bn (€2bn).

The deal is part of BP’s plans to reshape its US fuel arm to focus on three refineries in the north of the country.
