UPC Ireland announced today that it added 22,600 subscriptions in the company’s second quarter to end June 2012, compared to the first quarter of 2012.

UPC Ireland announced today that it added 22,600 subscriptions in the company’s second quarter to end June 2012, compared to the first quarter of 2012.

Total subscriptions for the second quarter increased by 14%, or 115,400, to 945,200 when compared to the same quarter a year ago.

The firm's number of broadband customers increased to 283,400, a 25% year-on-year rise.

UPC enjoyed a 69% year-on-year growth in the number of home phone subscriptions to 205,800. The firm now has 333,200 digital TV customers.

Last week, UPC brought 'On Demand TV' simultaneously to homes in Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford, Shannon, Naas, Newbridge, Swords and Malahide.
