Irish aircraft leasing company Avolon has today announced a commitment with Boeing to buy 30 new narrow-body aircraft.

Irish aircraft leasing company Avolon has today announced a commitment with Boeing to buy 30 new narrow-body aircraft.

The deal is worth €1.87bn.

The short haul aircraft are scheduled for delivery from 2015 onwards.

It will bring to 135 the number of aircraft leased by the company which already has 32 customers in 20 countries.

Its clients include US airways, KLM, Virgin Atlantic, Ryanair and Air Asia.
