Vhi Healthcare appoints new Chief Executive

Vhi Healthcare have announced the appointment of Mr John O'Dwyer as Chief Executive of the company.

Mr O’Dwyer will take up his position on August 1, 2012 from the international Dutch insurance group Achmea.

Prior to his current role he has held positions as Managing Director of Friends First Life Assurance, Director of Operations at BUPA Ireland and Assistant Chief Executive with responsibility for Claims in Vhi Healthcare.

He was also non-executive Chairman of the Board of the National Treatment Purchase Fund.
