ISEQ up at close

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed up 1.21% to 3091.

Among the risers pharma group Élan added 8.96% to €11.43; Donegal Creameries was up 4.55% to €3.45, while Kerry gained 4.48% to €34.16.

On the fallers' board ICON fell 5.45% to €15.60; Independent News & Media was down 5.09% to €0.26; Smurfit Kappa shed 3.54% to €5.45 and Kingspan closed down 3.14% to €7.10.
