Co Down guitar maker goes into liquidation

A guitar manufacturer in the North which made instruments for some of music’s most famous artists is going into liquidation, it was revealed.

Avalon Guitars, based in Newtownards in Co Down, has produced customised guitars for hundreds of performers including Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, the Corrs, David Gray and Katie Melua.
