Failed eircom bidder: Examiner should re-consider offer

A failed bidder for eircom has said the company's examiner should further consider the offer.

The troubled telecoms group employs 5,800 people.

Investors HWP, whose €2bn cash offer was turned down, is in the Commercial Court today, effectively trying to stop the examiner's plans to finalise a survival scheme for eircom at meetings with creditors this Friday.
