Roaming charges set to drop with new EU deal

Mobile roaming charges are set to drop significantly once MEPs in Brussels today approve a deal for significant roaming reductions.

Roaming costs will start to come down from July 1 and they are to decrease steadily over the next few years.

The reductions will apply to mobile phone calls, text messages and data roaming.

Fianna Fail MEP Liam Aylward is confident the deal will be approved by the MEPs today.
