Energy management firm 'to create 50 new jobs'

Irish energy management systems and services firm Cylon is to create 50 jobs over the next four years with an €11m investment in its new energy management division, it was announced today.

The new division, entitled Cylon Active Energy, provides energy management services to clients companies aimed at reducing their energy consumption, costs and carbon footprint.

It is described as using "cloud based real-time energy management technology".

A number of the new positions to be created as part of the company’s Irish and international expansion will be in areas such as sales, engineering and software development. A number of the positions will be filled through a Cylon graduate recruitment programme.

"The creation of up to 50 new jobs in the areas of engineering and software development, coupled with Cylon’s growing domestic and international presence reinforces Ireland’s position as a centre of excellence internationally in these fields," said Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Joe Costello, announcing the investment.

Established in 1985, Cylon is an Irish company with headquarters in Clonshaugh Co Dublin. The company also has offices in the UK, Europe and China, in addition to a network of representatives across Europe, the US, the Middle East, Australasia and Scandinavia.
