ISEQ up at close

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed up 56 points to 3,196, a rise of 1.8%.

Among the risers, Petroceltic International added 7.8% to €0.10; Independent News and Media added 7.5% to €0.22; Smurfit Kappa was up 4.5% to €6.54; Kenmare Resources gained 3.85% to €0.59 and CRH added 3.2% to €15.29.
