ISEQ down at close

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed down 0.3% at 3,202 this evening.

Readymix shares fell 6% to €0.23 following the announcement that a majority of shareholders had voted in favour of a takeover offer from Spain's Cemex group.

Also down were Smurfit Kappa, falling 2.31% to €6.35; Grafton Group, down 1.92% to €3.07 and Glanbia, shedding 1.42% to €5.55.

Meanwhile Siteserv gained 18.2% to €0.04 after news that the majority of Siteserv shareholders voted to sell the company to Millington for €45m.

Also climbing were Providence Resources, up 5.8% to €6.89, and Petroceltic International, adding 5.26% to €0.10.
