Ryanair: Court ruling creates no retrospective liability

Ryanair has responded to the non-binding opinion of the European Court of Justice today, in the case of a passanger who is seeking compensation for travel disruption.

The woman incurred costs after she became stranded during the Icelandic ash cloud crisis. Ryanair refused to reimburse her, but the European Court said the airline should pay.
