London Stock Exchange shares rose more than 7% after it struck a deal to buy up to 60% of clearing house LCH.Clearnet.

Chief executive Xavier Rolet said the move, which will cost it up to £387m (€607.5m), will allow LSE to offer new products and better services for its clients.
