Ryanair to cut five Edinburgh routes

Ryanair is cutting five routes out of Edinburgh Airport, the airline announced today.

The company said the move, which follows a breakdown in negotiations with operators BAA over the cost of using the airport, could cost 300 jobs.

The routes going are Edinburgh to Ibiza, Berlin, Tallinn, Murcia and Malmo.

BAA is stressing there will be "few, if any job losses".
