Android tablet computers gaining ground on iPad
Apple's iPad still accounts for the vast majority of the market share for tablet computers, but its lead is slipping.
Figures from research firm Strategy Analytics for the last quarter of 2011 show tablets running Google's Android software are gaining ground.
Apple's market share dropped from 58% from 68%, while Android's went up from 29% to 39%.
Worldwide, 26.8 million tablet computers were sold in the last three months of 2011, compared to 10.7 million units in the same period in 2010.
