Fantasy war games retailer Games Workshop said underlying profits rose 12% to £6.5m (€7.86m) in the six months to November 27 after it grew sales and made cost savings.

Fantasy war games retailer Games Workshop said underlying profits rose 12% to £6.5m (€7.86m) in the six months to November 27 after it grew sales and made cost savings.

The UK company, which makes collectable figurines for Warhammer and Lord of the Rings battle games, said that as a niche business it is more immune from the changes in the wider economy.
