ISEQ down over 1.5%

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed down 41.33 points to 2,681.21, a drop of 1.52%.

Among the fallers, Icon closed down 54c to €11.50; Greencore was 3c off at €0.62; CRH shed 47c to €13.18; Kingspan was down 20c to €6.20 and Grafton Group slipped 8c to €2.34.

On the risers' board, Merrion Pharmaceutical closed up 2c to €0.23, Kenmare Resources added 2c to €0.50 and Fyffes closed up 1c to €0.39.
