The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed down 39.278 points to 2,709.78, a drop of 1.43%.

Among the fallers, Glanbia closed down 30c to €4.35; Greencore shed 3c to €0.71; Kingspan was down 24c to €6.40 and Kerry group closed 83c off at €26.97.
