The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed down 31.59 points to 2,511.77, a drop of 1.24%.

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed down 31.59 points to 2,511.77, a drop of 1.24%.

Among the followers, Providence Resources was down 29c to €2.21; Paddy Power shed €1.20 to €39.90; Elan Corp closed down 20c to €7.50; CRC was down 30c to €12.30 and Irish Continental was also 30c off at €14.20.
