ISEQ down 2% at close

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed down 52.02 points to 2,555.09, a drop of 2%.

Among the fallers, Smurfit Kappa was down 22c to €4.14; Tullow Oil fell 74c to €14.61; C&C Group was down 11c to €2.84; FBD shed 20c to €6.35; Kerry Group slipped 76c to €24.85 and CRH closed down 30c at €12.50.

On a sparsely--populated risers' board, Independent News and Media was up 2c to €0.24 and Origin Enterprises added 12c to €3.20.
