The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed up 16.09 points to 2,679.36, a gain of 0.60%.

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed up 16.09 points to 2,679.36, a gain of 0.60%.

Among the risers, Paddy Power added €2.30 to €43.00; Grafton Group was up 5c to €2.58; FBD climbed 10c to €6.30 and CRH was up 18c to €13.18.
